Adelaide enjoys a vibrant arts scene. The Adelaide Festival and Adelaide Fringe are internationally acclaimed and attract a diverse range of very accomplished artists. It is a very vibrant time in our city as the populations swells with an influx of visitors from all over the world. The South Australian Art Gallery is famously one of the world’s best smaller galleries and the South Australian Museum and libraries are situated next door. The Jam Factory Craft and Design is an absolute must and a hub for some of our state’s best creatives and young artists…here, they specialise in ceramics, metal works that include sculpture and jewellery, and exquisite glass and wooden objects. Just a 20 minute drive from the city centre in Stirling Aptos Cruz Galleries sells stunning hand crafted habitat pieces.
The State Opera of South Australia is also greatly celebrated and the Adelaide Festival Centre precinct always has a variety of theatre options and pre or post dining at Seans Kitchen is always fun. Adelaide’s free newspaper The Adelaide Review can be found all over the city and their web site is excellent. It is a very good place to start looking for anything current with the arts.

You may love the tranquility of Thorn Park in the city and enjoy a quiet refuge there, but, just around the corner in Hutt Street, is a vibrant dining strip with a great deal to offer. Just a little further afar are more great dining options, arts precinct and terrific bars many, with a focus on South Australian wine.
